Background & Experience
Katrin's path into retirement coaching wasn't the typical career pivot. It started with watching her own parents struggle after they retired. They had the finances sorted—no money worries—but emotionally? They were lost. That's what sparked her curiosity about the psychological side of retirement transitions.
She pursued a Master's degree in Adult Education at Tallinn University specifically to understand how people adapt to major life changes. While studying, she completed specialized training in gerontological psychology through the Estonian Psychologists' Association, and that combination—adult learning theory plus understanding aging—became her foundation.
Over the past 14 years, she's worked with major Estonian employers designing pre-retirement programs, collaborated with healthcare organizations on retirement wellness initiatives, and built a private coaching practice at wartactical OÜ. She's coached over 600 individuals through retirement transitions—everyone from engineers to teachers to business owners.
What sets her approach apart is the recognition that retirement isn't just a financial event. It's a profound identity transition. Most people spend decades building a career identity, and then suddenly that's gone. She helps people navigate that loss and build something new that's actually fulfilling.

Transition Assessment
We start by understanding where you actually are—not where you think you should be. What's the identity shift like for you? What are you grieving? What excites you? This isn't about rose-tinted retirement fantasy.
Values & Purpose Clarification
Using evidence-based values exercises, we identify what actually matters to you now. Not what society says should matter. Not what your career identity says. What genuinely resonates with who you are.
Lifestyle Design
We build your retirement life intentionally. Daily routines, social connections, cognitive activities, physical health, financial sustainability—everything integrated. It's structured but flexible, ambitious but realistic.
Implementation & Resilience Building
Plans look good on paper. Real life is messier. We work through obstacles together, build psychological resilience for the harder moments, and adjust as you learn what actually works for you.
